Akizuki-Denshi's value Capacitance-meter

Akizuki-Denshi, now the famous Akihabara parts shop have Chinese cpacitance meter kit of only 1400-yen. This capacitance meter can measure both ceramic capacitor and dielectric capacitor. The small sized unit is attractive for weekend project by its bright 7-segment LED and automatic calibration. As a user, the ATMEL based kit distingushed degraded dielectric capacitors in my junk box, I am satisfied its performance.

Take some rest (Here the QRppgz)

Link test to youtube pictures.
'Power Puff Girls Z' is Japanese version of 'Power Puff Girls' by Craig McCracken.
It says 'Lovely fighting science legend' and at least they are related to QRP since Dr.Utonium who produce the girls is making something in his lab. The PPG(Z) girls are appeared by his mistake as we do often at our QRP bench.

Marutsu still handling 7MHz CW TX kit

CQ ham radio July 2009 issue together with 7MHz CW transmitter board was exciting among QRPers. Marutsu is still handling both the parts kit and the past issue. The transmitter including relay QSK circuit is designed by JA QRP club member JF1RNR Imai-san. Marutsu also selling pre-punched chasis. This one is rather expensive. But if you don't have drills. It is worth to buy. You can build QSK transmitter less than 6K-JPY.

Kida-Denshi released 14MHz CW transceiver

Kida-Denshi released KEM-TRX14-LITE . The series of 7 and 10MHz transceiver now extended to 14MHz. The DDS based CW transcever is popular among Japanese builders.
Now DDS based multi band transceivers are famous by KX1 and HB-1A. But mono band DSW+ series from Small Wonder Labs are obsolate. This kind of simple monobanders are good choice.
Sanyo LA1600 is used for RX. This IC is announced discontinue in 2010, thus this is a good chance to obtain the kit. This kit is provided with Japanese manual. There is no relation between this company and QRP JAPAN

Start of Japanese QRP introduction

This blog "QRP JAPAN" is started since JA QRP CLUB reduces volume of their monthly publication QRP NEWS. Still we, Japanese QRPers, need to introduce our activity toward the world QRPers. As well as other QRP events and topics, there are many interesting QRP products in Japan. They seldom appear in QST, QQ and SPRAT. Please enjoy the blog. If you are a JA QRP club members in foreign countries, do not hesitate to ask about topics.
